Description

Ideal for birthday parties, family gatherings or friends meetup nights, we can provide a ‘Takeaway’ pottery painting kit with ready made pots, a selection of glazes and the pack also includes firing.

The kit contains (per person):

x4 pots (small) of glaze**

One blank ceramic pot *

One firing

You will need: water pot, apron, brushes and optional palette to mix paints

Once you have ordered your pack online, you can collect it during any general session* from the studio or, by arrangement, from the outside collection/delivery point in the yard at Eastcott Studios, rear of 28 Eastcott Hill, Swindon, Wilts. SN1 3JG.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS:

To ensure the best finish, you will need to apply TWO coats of each colour used, you can blend your colours in a palette or on your item. You can add your paint with a brush or a sponge and if you make a mistake simply use a damp cloth to wipe your pot clean. Ensure the pot is completely covered to ensure a shiny finish to the whole pot (dont forget the inside, especially if it is a bowl or mug!) To avoid your pot getting stuck on a shelf do remember to wipe the bottom of your item as ANY glaze on the bottom will result in it sticking to the kiln shelf and fusing there.

When you have completed your project you will need to allow it to dry THOROUGHLY then return it to the studios for firing. Please ensure you have photographed it to help identify it when you later collect.

It will normally take about a week to fire your item, if you like and follow our facebook page we normally post finished and glazed items there when they are ready for collection. If you don’t see it, simply drop us a line and send a picture of your item and we will let you know when it is ready for collection.
