POTTERY FOR EVERYONE! Looking to try pottery? Want to have a go at throwing a pot or learn how to sculpt, coil, pinch or slab build clay? You can also paint a pre-made pot, RAKU fire your work or ours. Then, while you are here, visit the onsite Glass, Stone and Art Studios or check out the Art and Ceramic Galleries or cafe. Flexible, friendly sessions, learn and 'pay as you go', beginners welcome.
EASTCOTT STUDIOS is a hub for creative activity & personal growth With a core of small, independent businesses, artists and crafters we support each other so we can offer a range of products, services and opportunities to individuals and our local community. Eastcott Studios is made up of the Pottery and Glass studios plus a spacious covered Courtyard Gallery. Within the same site is also Wiltshire Stone Carving's Stone Studio, MAMS Gallery & Cafe with their Art Studio and SMILE Thai Takeaway & Restaurant.
THE STUDIOS At Eastcott Studio's Pottery Studio, there are regular pot throwing tasters, hand building, pottery painting, sculpture, raku firing, courses, workshops, group and team sessions, all suitable for experienced makers or beginners alike. We also offer Glass Fusion workshops in the Glass Studio. Our delightful covered Courtyard Gallery has Ceramics to buy or view, Pottery Painting, Prosecco & Paint evenings, exhibitions, markets, community activities, local visiting artists, makers and events. This is the space where you can relax with coffee and cake while soaking up the creative atmosphere, meet visiting artists, browse the work for sale or on display, or join in one of the classes.
Full day in the studio, coil, pinch and slab build then 'throw' a pot on a potters wheel. Ideal introduction to 4 different pottery techniques.
Try different throwing methods, learn to centre and recycle your clay, throw 6+ pots! Great introduction to pot throwing using an electric potters wheel.

'Drop in' to any weekly general session for a chat or to pick up a leaflet. You could also just turn up and join a pottery painting, sculpture, glazing or hand building session (no need to book).
