EASTCOTT STUDIOS A welcoming hub for creative activity & personal growth With a core of small, independent businesses, artists and crafters we support each other so we can offer a range of products, services and opportunities to individuals and our local community. Eastcott Studios is made up of the Pottery and Glass studios plus a spacious covered Courtyard Gallery. Within the same site is also Wiltshire Stone Carving's Stone Studio, MAMS Gallery & Cafe with their Art Studio and SMILE Thai Takeaway & Restaurant.
At Eastcott Studio's Pottery Studio, there are regular pot throwing tasters, hand building, pottery painting, sculpture, raku firing, courses, workshops, group and team sessions, all suitable for experienced makers or beginners alike. We also offer Glass Fusion workshops in the Glass Studio. Our delightful covered Courtyard Gallery has Ceramics to buy or view, Pottery Painting, Prosecco & Paint evenings, exhibitions, markets, community activities, local visiting artists, makers and events. This is the space where you can relax with coffee and cake while soaking up the creative atmosphere, meet visiting artists, browse the work for sale or on display, or join in one of the classes.
Full day in the studio, coil, pinch and slab build then 'throw' a pot on a potters wheel. Ideal introduction to 4 different pottery techniques.
Try different throwing methods, learn to centre and recycle your clay, throw 6+ pots! Great introduction to pot throwing using an electric potters wheel.

POTTERY FOR EVERYONE! Want to have a go at throwing a pot or learn how to sculpt, coil, pinch or slab build clay? Why not paint a pre-made pot, experience RAKU firing, visit the onsite Glass, Stone and Art Studios or check out the Art and Ceramic Galleries or cafe. WORKSHOPS Friendly, informal daytime and evening workshop sessions every week, plus a range of regular experiences and project days at weekends. For private group sessions (min 8), call Jo on 07747804487 GENERAL POTTERY, HANDBUILDING 'Drop in' (no need to book) every MON, TUES, WED 6.30-8.30pm, plus every TUES and WED: 10.30am-12, 12.30-2pm and 4.30-6pm. POTTERY PAINTING or GLAZING your pots - 'Drop-in' to any GENERAL Pottery session or book into a weekend session POT THROWING TASTER (using a potters wheel, please book online) - every TUES and WED 4-5pm, 5.15-6.15pm PLUS Mon 7.30-8.30pm. Weekend sessions also available. POT THROWING EXPERIENCES (using a potters wheel) - Throw at least 6 pots using different weights and two different throwing techniques POT THROWING ADVANCED (using a potters wheel) - Throw a mug, jug and a bowl, add texture, turn bottoms, add handles and colour. POTTERY DAY EXPERIENCE - Try each of the three different hand-building techniques PLUS a pot throwing taster using a potters wheel. POTTERY DAY ADVANCED - For experienced potters, a whole day in the studio with full access to slab rollers, potters wheels, hand extruders etc to throw, handbuild, sculpt, or simply do your own thing, the choice is yours! GLASS FUSION EXPERIENCE - Learn how to cut and trim glass to create beautiful fused glass designs, make 2 pieces, ideal for beginners. GLASS FUSION ADVANCED - We provide the facilities, a glass pack and firing along with studio space in a friendly environment. RAKU FIRING SESSION - Decorate then set fire to pots! If they survive you have a unique piece of art, if not.. Kintsugi? RAKU EXPERIENCE - Throw a pot on a wheel, coil, pinch or slab build a pot, glaze both of your pots then RAKU fire them for stunning, unique finishes. STONE CARVING workshops.
